For the third time ever, in summer 2017, the superior international Chamber Music Workshop with its festival flair will take place in Krzyżowa (Lower Silesia): Krzyżowa-Music. Late-Summer Tour 2016 - a Review
Following the workshop stage and our Summer Concerts in Lower Silesia, our Late-Summer Tour 2016 took place in September: selected Juniors and Seniors of Krzyżowa-Music performed concerts at the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, at the Young Euro Classic Festival in Berlin, at the famous baroque manor house Hasselburg in Schleswig-Holstein or at the German embassy in Warsaw, Poland.
Krzyżowa-Music’s Late Summer Tour programme offered this year numerous masterpieces of chamber music literature:
Artistic Director: Viviane Hagner
"Inspired by the many summers I spent at the Marlboro Music School and Festival in Vermont as well as by my activity on the Advisory Board of the Freya von Moltke Foundation, I discovered Krzyżowa to be the perfect place for such a chamber music festival in Europe. I am delighted that a number of my colleagues, including seniors of Marlboro, are joining me to make this new European music project possible."

Sponsors, Donors and Supporters
Krzyżowa-Music is a new festival for Europe. From the very beginning, it will be an important international event, with workshops in Krzyżowa and concerts on-site and other places throughout Europe.
That is why sponsorship is extremely important for Krzyżowa-Music. Apart from ticket returns and subsidies from public funds from Poland and Germany, it is foundations, private companies, and donors who support this new festival.
Director General: Matthias von Hülsen
Matthias von Hülsen,
„It is with great joy that I took up Viviane Hanger’s idea of Krzyżowa-Music, to which I can now contribute my rich experience in founding and running music festivals in Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Krzyżowa is very close to my heart and I am deeply committed to it, not the least through my board activity in the Freya von Moltke Foundation.“
Symposium Musicians in Exile
Lively cultural and historical evening discussions in the course of Krzyżowa-Music. Curator: Moritz von Bredow
The timeless topic of Musicians in Exile will once again accompany and enrich Krzyżowa Music on two evenings of the festival. More that 70 years after the end of the Second World War, the attention focuses on musicians whose personal lives and creative developments were never able to flourish as hoped after 1933.
