Die Junioren 2017

In der Krzyżowa-Music Saison 2017 werden erneut insgesamt 37 aufstrebende Nachwuchsmusiker "Juniors" die Möglichkeit bekommen, zwei Wochen lang im Sommer in der ländlichen Abgeschiedenheit von Krzyżowa / Kreisau gemeinsam mit den "Seniors" in sehr konzentrierter Atmosphäre zusammen zu arbeiten. Die "Seniors" gehören zu den in allen Musikzentren der Welt gefragten und solistisch wie pädagogisch sehr erfahrenen Musikern. Somit ermöglicht Krzyżowa-Music einen generations-übergreifenden musikalischen Austausch und ein gemeinsames Konzertieren. Die Auswahl der "Juniors" für das Jahr 2017 wurde Ende Februar 2017 für die Saison abgeschlossen:

Mark Schumann, Violincello

Mark Schumann, born in 1988 near Cologne, Germany, received his fi rst cello lessons at the age of four. His teachers were A. Bauer, H.-C. Schweiker, E. Klein, H. Schiff and F. Helmerson. Numerous concerts with renowned orchestras such as Warsaw Symphony Orchestra, Slovak Symphony Orchestra, MDR Symphony Orchestra and Yomiuri Symphony Orchestra have led him to major concert halls.

Alexey Stadler, Violincello

One of the finest young cellists and winner of the TONALi Grand Prix, Alexey Stadler performs with orchestras such as San Francisco Symphony, Mariinsky Orchestra, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana and DSO Berlin under conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Tugan Sokhiev, Michael Sanderling and Vasily Petrenko.

Stephen Waarts, Violin

The American violinist Stephen Waarts has been praised for playing “with technical command and a totally natural sense of musical drama” by the Strings Magazine. He has already achieved worldwide recognition, having won both Audience Prizes at the 2015 Queen Elizabeth Competition, First Prize at the 2014 Menuhin Competition or First Prize at the 2013 Young Concert Artists International Auditions.

Anna Maria Wünsch, Viola

Anna Maria began to play the violin at the age of four until she changed her instrument to viola in 2009. She has won several national prizes, among them a special award at the “Jugend Musiziert” competition in Munich. As a passionate chamber musician she has played and learned from members of the Fauré Quartet, V. Hagner and J. Vogler.

Julia Yang, Violincello

Julia Yang is a multifaceted young performer and active as soloist, orchestral player and chamber musician. As of September 2014, Julia has been based in Miami Beach, as a cellist in the New World Symphony. Chamber music is a special love of Julia’s.

Zhanbo Zheng, Viola

Born in China in 1997 Zhanbo Zheng, won the Primrose International Viola Competition in 2014, as the first Chinese violist. He has performed with many orchestras, such as Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, China Broadcasting Performing Arts Orchestra and others.
